The Technology team has end to end responsibility for all aspects of our Technology, from architecting the future, engineering solutions, to deploying and managing our technology services.

The Atom Process Manager is responsible for supporting the engineering lifecycle from a technical capacity ensuring stakeholders and technology are progressing in a collaborative and efficient way, whilst also trying to amend industry leading continuous improvement capabilities.

What will your ‘typical’ day look like…. (there’s no two days the same in Atom):

  • Key point of knowledge for Atom’s technology stack in relation to engineering processes and technical awareness
  • Lead the engineering initiatives to drive change, enhanced quality and overarching improvements
  • You’ll be accountable for the technical strategy in relation to technology processes and definitions; feeding into the technology strategy
  • Implementation of the planning and maintenance of the technology stack and the processes around it; ensuring the appropriate gateways are adhered to
  • Implementing key technical policies and procedures, whilst ensuring; Efficiency, Maintenance & Collaboration
  • Identifying key areas for technological advancements and putting plans in place to enhance
  • Support and lead initiatives in relation to continuous improvement (CI)
  • Technical management of change throughout the lifecycle delivery and engineering gatekeeper
  • Working cross functional through functional pillars, projects and regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing current processes and procedures to define improvements, whilst also embedding new ideas and innovations - showcasing effectiveness and benefits
  • Enhance existing processes to optimize efficiency, effectiveness and cost
  • Communication between technology and business areas, being able to relay technical concepts to both engineers and operational areas - helping find solutions
  • Advocate of agile processes to assist in implementing positive change; seamlessly
  • Collaboration with technology teams, test, business, operational areas and senior management to ensure best practices that benefit the organisation
  • Close working relationships with technology, release management and configuration management to build lean ways of working
  • Understand and identify dependencies between components and the ripple effect of changes across the Atom estate to work alongside the core technology teams to assist with process improvements

All roles within Atom must adhere to the Conduct Rules as set out by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

As part of our journey in building and running a bank we’ll encounter many risks along the way. In order to make sure the road doesn’t become too bumpy we expect everyone to make a conscious effort to proactively tackle and highlight any risks that we might face.

What do we need from you?

  • Experience in process management within a technology environment
  • Experience within complex environments with multiple priorities ongoing simultaneously
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Experience of defining, writing and explaining process definitions in conjunction with release and config management to interested parties and key decisions makers
  • Experience of working in Cloud based environments, preferably GCP, but AWS or Azure experience would be acceptable
  • Working knowledge of software development from a technical stance
  • Stakeholder management

  • Working knowledge of operating cloud based applications
  • Financial Services or Regulated Environment Experience
  • Broad understanding of Technological advancements
  • Broad understanding of varying engineering techniques in relation to process and delivery
  • Broad understanding of technical project management
