More than 40 jobs up for grabs at Durham's Atom bank
11 October 2021
Atom bank, the UK’s first app-based bank, is recruiting for more than 40 roles at its Durham head office, furthering its commitment to bring world-class career opportunities to the North East, and to developing a strong tech culture right on our doorstep.
More than 400 people currently work for the Aykley Heads-based fintech, which is growing significantly, and is proud to offer a unique culture built around collaboration, innovation and autonomy. Its growth is down to its success in disrupting the traditional banking market - Atom is far more efficient than competitors thanks to its cutting-edge, digital banking technology.
Among the roles on offer are a number of full-time and part-time Customer Support Agent positions, sitting within Atom’s bustling operations team, which is the first point of contact for Atom customers and is integral to ensuring it keeps its mission as being the most customer-centric bank on the planet. These roles are also often the first port of call for those wishing to build their career at one of the UK’s top fintech companies, with previous Customer Service Agents having gone on to take up roles in technology, lending, project management, business development and more.
In addition to working in an exciting, fast-paced environment, benefits include an exceptional starting salary of £20,000, plus annual share options, a generous pension scheme and private medical insurance for employees and family.
David Castling, Head of Customer Service at Atom bank said: “We’re delighted to once again be recruiting for our next cohort of Customer Support Agents here at Atom. We’re really lucky in that the individuals we hire are incredibly motivated and keen to develop and grow, which often means moving on to new roles across the business - something we very much encourage. That internal progression coupled with our continued business growth means new opportunities for the talented workforce of the North East to join our team.
“Working at Atom is fantastic. No two days are the same; it’s fast-paced, forward-thinking and fun. We’ve built a really strong team, supportive environment and exceptional internal culture in our six years as a business and that’s something each and every one of us here is proud of and hope our new recruits look forward to.”
Other roles on offer include a range of analyst, engineering and architect roles, as well as project managers, lending specialists and PR and internal communications managers.
Applications are open now and deadlines vary, with Customer Support Agent applications closing on 22 October.
