At Atom, we are passionate about making banking simpler, faster, and more transparent. Our Lending Specialists are at the heart of this mission, responsible for managing the entire lending application lifecycle for residential mortgages and commercial loans.
This isn’t just about processing applications; it’s about providing a first-class experience for our customers and stakeholders. You’ll be a vital part of a collaborative team that is committed to getting it right the first time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Application Management: Process lending applications from submission to completion for both new and existing customers.
- Quality Assurance: Accurately assess all supporting application information within designated SLAs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Manage queries from intermediaries, valuers, and legal conveyancers across various channels like phone, email, and live chat. You’ll be the key point of contact, providing updates and delivering news with professionalism and empathy.
- Proactive Contribution: Quickly get up to speed with our lending policies, procedures, and systems. You’ll also be expected to identify opportunities to improve our processes, enhance automation, and maximise the experience for both brokers and customers.
What do we need from you?
- A good understanding of loan application processes (mortgage and/or commercial).
- Document assessment capability - covering income verification, ID and other application related documents.
- Experience working in a fast paced, service focused and customer centric environment.
- Fast Learner - there’s lots we need you to know about Atom and our customers to make sure we exceed expectations in everything we do.
- Passionate about delivering service excellence.
- A great communicator - we interact with our customers, intermediaries and suppliers across a range of channels, so your verbal and written communication skills need to be on point.
- Quality focused - with a strong attention to detail & ability to take a methodical
approach so that everything you are processing is of high quality.
- Resilient - the ability to resolve tasks and issues and anything else we throw at you.
- Organised - ability to manage conflicting and demanding clients and priorities we
need to make sure we meet our service levels.
