Meet Kathryn: finding financial flexibility

For Kathryn, flexibility is key, so she has both Fixed and Instant Savers. Kathryn explained how this works for her: “this setup allows me to balance saving for the future with having funds readily available, if I need them”.

Kathryn’s savings strategy

Kathryn demonstrates a strategic approach to managing her finances. When asked about a specific situation where having both types of accounts was helpful, Kathryn said: “the Fixed Saver allowed me to put money aside towards paying off a credit card when the 0% ended, whilst the Instant Saver was used for more immediate needs, such as paying large bills, home improvements and holidays.”

Kathryn typically accesses her Instant Saver “once or twice a month,” for her immediate financial needs. When asked about the importance of immediate access, she stated, “I 100% always need to have some available for instant access. If there is spare money on top of that, I would take advantage of higher interest accounts.”

Kathryn appreciates the user-friendly nature of the Atom app. “It’s just so easy,” she says, referring to how the app supports her device’s face recognition function for logging in. “I like how it’s quick to log in and log out.” She also values the personable tone of Atom’s communication, “I like the way Atom talks to customers. The convenience of managing her money on her phone is another major plus. “With Atom, I can just go straight on my phone and log in with my face or my fingerprint and I’m there and I can just transfer money in or out. You can just get it done straight away.”
