30 April 2014
Atom bank has further strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Stewart Bromley as Human Resources Director. Stewart joins from Breakthrough Arts Limited, his own independent coaching and consulting practice, where he has worked with leading UK financial services brands to transform their digital capabilities and improve their digital customer experience.
Working together with Anthony Thomson, founder and the first chairman of Metro Bank and Mark Mullen, former CEO of first direct, to launch the UK’s first real alternative to the established banks, Stewart will bring his expertise in human resources and digital customer engagement to help create a smarter customer journey for Atom bank customers.
Stewart has 10 years financial services experience under his belt, including six years at first direct and HSBC where he pioneered the development of People Experience across both first direct and HSBC Direct to achieve record employee engagement levels. He went on to create the first Digital Centre of Excellence for HSBC Group globally, which he led for three years and was accountable for all aspects of Digital for the HSBC’s Retail businesses in the UK.
Anthony Thomson, chairman of Atom said: “We are committed to creating a first class team who have a passion for people and we see Stewart’s involvement as key to this. He has an excellent track record in consumer engagement and his unique mix of skills and expertise will be a huge asset to Atom. His previous work with organisations to transform both their employee and their digital customer experience will be invaluable and we are delighted to have him on board.”
